Level One Epoxy Technician

Supreme Coatings is a locally owned epoxy flooring company servicing Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Gympie and the Wide Bay region. With over six years of experience and more than 300 completed projects, our team is known for reliable workmanship and floors engineered to last.
We’re expanding our team and looking for a motivated Level One Epoxy Technician to join us. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who wants to learn the trade, develop hands-on skills, and progress within the epoxy flooring industry.
What We’re Looking For
- Basic trade, construction, or flooring experience (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated
- Understanding of workplace safety and PPE
- Must have current driver’s licence
Performance Expectations
- Accurate completion of prestarts and housekeeping tasks
- Reliable stock tracking and communication with senior staff
- Safe handling of tools and materials
- Demonstrated improvement in preparation and application techniques
About the Role
As a Level One Epoxy Technician, you’ll work alongside senior technicians to prepare, install, and finish epoxy flooring systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You’ll be involved in surface preparation, mixing products, site setup, and maintaining equipment — all while learning the correct techniques and safety standards used across our projects.
This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, physically fit, and eager to build a long-term trade career.
What You’ll Do
Daily Operations
- Assist senior technicians with project setup, mixing, and application of epoxy coatings
- Complete daily prestart checks on vehicles, grinders, vacuums, and tools
- Maintain a clean, organised vehicle and job site
- Perform housekeeping in the workshop and storage areas
- Track and record material usage for each project
- Safely handle and store epoxy materials and cleaning agents
- Report directly to the Senior Technician or Leading Hand
Technical Support
- Support surface preparation including grinding, cleaning, and patch repairs
- Assist with mixing and applying base coats, decorative flakes, and sealers
- Learn correct product ratios, curing times, and safety protocols
- Follow instructions carefully to ensure consistent quality and finish
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use

We’re looking for an experienced Epoxy Installer (Level Two Technician) to join our growing team. This role suits someone with hands-on flooring or construction experience who can confidently assist with full system installations while maintaining Supreme Coatings’ high standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in epoxy flooring, painting, concreting, or similar trade
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Understanding of PPE and workplace safety
- Current driver’s licence
About the Role
As a Level Two Technician, you’ll work closely with senior installers to complete full epoxy flooring systems across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. You’ll be responsible for surface preparation, mixing, application, and finishing — following our strict 6‑step installation process used across all projects.
This is a progression role with clear pathways toward Leading Hand and Senior Installer positions.
What You’ll Do
Technical Responsibilities
- Carry out surface preparation including diamond grinding, crack repair, and patching
- Mix and apply epoxy primers, base coats, decorative flakes, metallics, and polyurethane topcoats
- Follow product data sheets, mix ratios, and curing requirements
- Assist with moisture testing, slab assessment, and defect identification
- Maintain consistent finish quality across all coating systems
- Operate grinders, vacuums, and industrial equipment safely and efficiently
Daily Operations
- Complete daily prestart checks on vehicles and equipment
- Maintain clean, organised work vehicles and job sites
- Assist with stock management and material usage tracking
- Communicate clearly with senior technicians and Leading Hand
